Associate Pastor of Spiritual Formation
Pastor Tim, son of missionary parents, was raised in Papua New Guinea. Tim returned to the US to study at Oregon State University and completed graduate courses of study at Lewis and Clark College, University of Oregon, Western Seminary, and Ashland Theological Seminary. After marrying Karen, they settled in Papua New Guinea as missionary translators and worked there for 19 years, raising three daughters. Upon completion of their work in PNG, Tim was called to serve at OCF as Associate Pastor in March of 2007. Tim and Karen love spending time with their two grandchildren. Director of Administration
Paula has been supporting OCF with administration since January 1999, and her position includes adminstration, general purchasing, bookkeeping and disbursements for OCF. She is also coordinating the OCF Weekly e-newsletter and website. Paula works both at the OCF office and from home, sharing the morning office hours with Doreen Roller. She is married to Dave and they have three grown children, one married daughter and two sons (one married), and two grandchildren. Paula can be contacted at email@example.com.
Kyle and Amy Bishop
Directors of Children's Ministries
Kyle from Shelby and Amy from St. Marys, Ohio met at Bowling Green State University while attending Campus Crusade for Christ meetings. After graduating in 2003, Kyle earning a degree in Art Education and Amy earning a degree in Gerontology and minor in Psychcology, they married. Amy spent a short time as Director of a pair of assisted living facilities in northwest Ohio before taking off to raise the first of 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. Kyle is employed with Madison Local Schools as a middle school art teacher. They have recently stepped into the role of Co-Directors of Children's Ministry in March of 2016.
Doreen and her late husband, Bill, served as missionaries in Korea for 10 years, and joined OCF in 1987. During their time in Korea, they adopted two Korean children, David and Donna. Bill and Doreen served together as visitation ministers and oversaw the 50+ Club.
With Bill's recent passing, Doreen will continue with visitation and overseeing the JOY Club, and is now serving with Paula in the office three mornings per week. Doreen worked as office manager at Richland Pregnancy Services for 8 years and is now serving as a volunteer client advocate. She loves to read and crochet in her spare time, and enjoys spending time with her 3-year-old grandson, Jack.
Amanda grew up in Orlando, Florida, and moved to Mansfield with her daughters Bryanna and Aubrey in December 2016 to be near her dad, Don and Vicki Varvel. She is currently working in the OCF Office as Administrative Assistant and also helping with custodial duties in the church. She loves cats and enjoys many outdoor activities with her daughters.
Dave has been working for OCF since 2009 in varying custodial positions. He is now helping the church with event set-up, and is especially busy during the Upward Basketball season. He has been married to his lovely wife Elaine for over 50 years, and has 3 grown and married children and 7 grandchildren. One of Dave's favorite past-times is tending the birds that visit his feeders.
Barb was born and raised in Mansfield. She has three married children, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and another one on the way. She recently spent six months at La Misión para Niños in Mexico. At the orphanage, she celebrated her 82nd birthday. She has been a member of OCF for over fifty years. She has followed her children and grandchildren to the Dominican Republic, Papua New Guinea, Brazil and Mexico.
Vern is the all-around maintenance man for OCF, and uses his skills and mechanical repair knowledge to keep things running smoothly in the facilities. He has been married to Carol for almost 50 years, and they have 3 grown sons and 13 grandchildren. They relocated from Akron to Mansfield in 2012, and he loves "fixing things" and riding his bike.
